About the Director, Caryl Cuizon

Caryl is the co-founder of iFreeStyle.ca and director of iFreeStyle.ca Salsa On2 Dance School and Performance Company. She has been dancing, teaching and performing Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha, and Merengue since 2000. First learning to dance On1, Caryl quickly grew a love for salsa On2 and began teaching Salsa On2 to new students and helping On1 dancers transition from On1 to On2. Through the years, she has influenced the style of many salsa dancers through classes and workshops in styling, partner work, multiple spin technique, body isolations, body conditioning and salsa both On2 and On1 to dancers within Toronto, GTA and internationally. As a dancer she is known for her musicality, smooth following and her ability to interpret music using full body movements with control and grace. As an instructor, she is sought after by students for her technique, connection to students and her ability to break down moves and concepts.  Caryl is the choreographer/co-choreographer for all of iFreeStyle's performance classes since 2006. In addition to iFreeStyle projects, she has co-choreographed for the stage production "The Weeping Salsa" and produced, directed and co-choreographed iFreeStyle.ca's 5th Anniversary Medley Production.
